One Year of The Pan Yard

One year ago today, we took the biggest step and opened The Pan Yard from our home.

And honestly... where has that year gone?

A whole year of pizzas, orders, messages, questions, new customers, returning customers, recommendations, photos, reviews and all the little things that come with running a business that you don't really understand until you're actually doing it.

We've learned a lot.

Some things we got right.

Some things we definitely didn't. 

We've changed things, tried things, scrapped things, started again and generally worked it out as we've gone along.

But one thing that hasn't changed is the reason we started The Pan Yard in the first place — we wanted to make a different kind of pizza, and give people the chance to try something a little different.

And a year later, people are still ordering it.

That's pretty amazing when you actually stop and think about it.

So today isn't really about numbers or how much we've achieved.

It's about the people who have supported us during that first year.

The people who placed that first order.

The people who came back and ordered again.

The people who told someone else about us.

The people who followed us from the beginning and are still here now.

And the people who have only just discovered us.

Whether you've ordered once or you've lost count, you've been part of our first year and we genuinely appreciate it.

A year ago, The Pan Yard was just something we'd decided to have a go at.

Today, it's something that is very much part of our lives.

And now we've got another year to see what we can do with it.
