From Detroit to Louth

Being a keen cook for many years, I've always enjoyed cooking good home cooked food for people, and knowing what goes into the food I cook without having to add stuff to make it taste better is one thing I pride myself in.

After numerous people saying I should open a takeaway and sell the food I make, I never thought I would actually do it. Then I came across Detroit style pizza, it blew my mind, and then it hit me, this is what Louth needs. Yes there are great pizza places in Louth but nothing like Detroit style pizza. So I started to research how it was made and the best way I could make it from home.

Fast forward to now and I'm proud that I've brought something a bit different, something that feels like comfort food, but with a twist, something that Louth hasn't seen before.

As for where this is going, I'm hoping to one day be in a bigger space, maybe running The Pan Yard from a pub kitchen or maybe our own takeaway, who knows, I 'm just happy to be giving back to the place that has given me so much.
